Ousios / Terms of Service & Sale
Terms · Plain language, legally real

The deal, written down.

These terms govern your use of ousios.dev and anything you buy from Ousios LLC (company details on the legal notice). They're written to be read — and everything promised here is meant to be enforceable, starting with the refund.

1 · Using the site

The site's content — writing, case studies, samples, and tools — belongs to Ousios LLC or its licensors. You're welcome to read, link, and quote with attribution; you may not scrape it into a competing product or pass it off as your own. The free in-browser tools and AI-assisted demos are provided as-is, for evaluation: their output is generated assistance, not professional advice, and you're responsible for decisions you base on it. Don't use the tools or AI endpoints to violate law, probe or overload the service, or process data you have no right to process.

2 · Buying toolkits (digital downloads)

Toolkit prices are shown on the toolkits page in US dollars. Checkout and delivery run through Gumroad, which processes payment and delivers your download immediately; where Gumroad acts as merchant of record, your purchase is concluded with Gumroad and its terms apply alongside these. Applicable VAT or sales tax is handled at checkout.

License

Your purchase buys a license for individual use: use the toolkit in your own work, personal or commercial, on any of your devices. It does not permit resale, redistribution, sublicensing, or sharing the files beyond your own use — team licenses are available by email.

The refund — binding

Every toolkit carries a 14-day, full-money-back refund. Reply to your purchase receipt within 14 days of purchase — no reason required, no questions asked, the full price back. This is a term of sale, not a gesture, and it applies to every buyer worldwide.

EU & UK consumers

Digital content law in the EU and UK gives consumers a 14-day right of withdrawal that, for instant downloads, is waived when you expressly consent to immediate delivery at checkout. Our refund above is deliberately broader than the statutory right — it applies even after you've downloaded and used the toolkit — so the waiver at checkout never leaves you worse off. Nothing in these terms limits rights that your local consumer law makes non-waivable, including statutory remedies for digital content that is defective or not as described.

3 · Services & paid features

Engagements (systems builds, automation work, advisory) are governed by the written scope agreed by email or proposal before work begins — that document controls scope, fees, timeline, and any refund or kill-fee terms, and these site terms fill any gaps.

Agency Spotlight and other paid placements are subject to the sponsored-content policy, which is part of the deal: every feature is conspicuously labeled as paid, every claim must survive verification against a linked source, and no fee buys the label's removal or invented praise. A sponsor's payment reserves the slot; the intake and verification follow. Fees and any refund terms for placements are stated at the point of sale.

4 · The boring-but-necessary part

No warranty on free things. The site, free tools, and AI demos are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Paid products come with the promises stated above and any that your local law implies.

Liability cap. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ousios LLC's total liability arising out of the site or a purchase is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $100 if you paid nothing). This cap does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for willful misconduct, gross negligence, or, for consumers, rights your local law makes non-waivable.

Indemnity for sponsors. If you submit material for a paid feature, you confirm you own or have licensed what you submit (including permission for quoted endorsements) and you'll cover us if a third party claims otherwise.

5 · Governing law & housekeeping

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, and disputes belong to its courts — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws, and the courts, of the country where you live. Write to us first — you'll get a real answer. EU consumers can also contact their national consumer-protection authority or an accredited alternative-dispute-resolution body in their country.

If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stands. We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do, and the version in force when you bought something is the one that governs that purchase — every prior version is preserved in the site's version history, available on request.
